Our first read through meeting was Saturday November 10, 2012.
Since we have people from Houston, Galveston, and Houston’s surrounding areas, even as far as College Station, working on the film, we always have to negotiate and compromise on our meeting places to be fair and satisfy everyone’s needs and schedules!
I am the photographer for the film, so I am keeping track of all the behind the scene’s adventures including what it takes to create an independent film (a lot of work). I am also collaborating with Peter, the camera man in charge of the documentary which will be about the process of making the film and who the people are that are working on this film.
A good bunch, but not everyone showed up for this read-through.
Not all but some tech were there including myself, Peter, and Judith- also the writer of the script and the one who has brought us all together. Also, MJ, the director and narrator at the moment, Dustin as Victor Frankenstein, Tim as Clerval, Matt as the Monster, Martha as Justine, Travis as Krempe, and Megan as the Maid.
The Monster
Victor Frankenstein
The Script: Written by Judith B. Shields, which is pretty close to the original text of Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. Only some tweaks and twists have been added to fit criteria for the film contests (yes, this independent film will be entering a film competition!! And it has steampunk influences too!) and to match the actors and actresses personas and voices.
Alright that is all I have for now. Stay tuned because we just had another meeting and read-through last Friday which I will be blogging about!!
